In India and America Life difference

 Namastye ! friends

In India and America Life difference  --Hi ! here few points life diffrence between in India and America Now time for the last installment of this miniseries the procrastination mini series Let's see.. um.. These are all comparison questions so it's a specific category, India vs US plus my answer Traveling in America vs Traveling in India I, obviously, travel as a woman and so my experiences are very influenced by that So, I am, not obviously,

In India and America Life difference

but I am much more confident traveling in the US alone as a woman because it is less scary Traveling in India alone as a woman, is a whole other topic of conversation I've done a different video on that, and I'll put a link in here but traveling in the US alone as a woman is just easier it feels more safe and comfortable Sorry, India I do also try to stick to larger cities and towns I don't do the small town experience because I.. am a person of brown skin and small town America is not always 100% receptive to immigrants, so.. depends,

but I stick to the big city life when I'm travelling alone "Which one has better working conditions? America or India?" I.. uh, that's a tough one. I personally enjoyed my work more, like in the technology space in the US I think the attitudes are much more "Yes, let's get this done!" "What do we need to do? What's the next step?" It's very 'Go go go' hustle because I think engineers in America actually wanted to do engineering Whereas a lot of engineers in India don't want to do engineering they're sort of forced to do it and so they are a little more meh about it But in a way I do kind of, it is less exhausting to sort of get your work done and be like "Okay I'm going home, bye" Having that sort of emotional separation from your work is definitely healthier, but.. I'm the type that gets really involved and so for me, American work culture was much better. The timings in India,

I hear, are pretty garbage my timings were not bad because I had a great manager in India but I've heard some people really get killed in terms of work hours in India and I think works hours in America are a little more manageable but the stress is probably worse Okay, difference in standard of living Uh.. I don't know. I think that depends a lot on your standard of living in India I think there's a lot more variation in terms of standard of living in India Like, based on how much money your family has you can have a really luxurious life in India and you go to America and it's like you're doing everything by yourself (which was my experience) and but at the same time if you grow up having really fought for everything and struggled while you were in India moving to America can be a huge relief. So it totally depends on where you're coming from. But it's a much more equal way of living in the US I would say in terms of infrastructure Power cuts are not a problem, you'll always get hot water, there's always water, that kind of thing Okay, um.

. Friends in India vs Friends in America I don't even remember fully what that question was about but I think friends in America tend to.. um, because it's such a diverse country they tend to group together based on similarities a bit more in terms of, you know, where you've come from not so much on your socio-economic status vs in India the friends groups are probably based more on socio-economic status So you can be from anywhere in India but if you're from the same sort of social class you will stick together a bit more. I think. That's in my experience. CONDITIONS APPLY Beer in India vs the US Okay I don't know about beer in India,

but beer in Bangalore I mean, we have a great microbrewery scene but unfortunately most of the microbreweries are making the same sort of five things which is a little disappointing The bottled beer and the canned beer scene in India is kind of I don't want to say 'sad', it's growing, it's developing But the bottled and canned beer scene in America is amazing I miss it so much! There are so many places that have such long lists of craft beers, seasonal beers Oh, so many different breweries, it's amazing! Kingfisher, I love you, but man, America's craft beer scene is pretty on point. Night life in India vs the US It's kind of the same actually Get drunk, go out stay drunk Order biryani vs order pancakes eat and sleep. It's the same thing. The timings are different. Especially if you live in Bangalore. America is open later.

Till 3 am usually. Alright, alright Um.. Things that have to change in India vs the US In India, I mean safety is a big one, especially as a woman. Just, sort of, feeling safe, generally in public, is something that needs to change I think and in the US I think we need to get better about, uh, about racism and race based violence and discrimination and all of that I think in India it's more sexism, in the US it's more racism, let's just say that. That's a good way to summarise it, I would suppose. Okay last few questions coming up How different is the food you normally eat in India vs the US Dude, it's obviously so different.

In the US it's more like sandwiches and salads and burgers and American food. Pizza, all of that kind of stuff Um, In India it's Indian food bro. Uh.. Yeah you can spend more money if you want and eat American food in India Same way you can spend more and eat "ethnic" food in America Obviously American food is not as good in India and Indian food is not as good in America I don't know, I'm feeling a little bad because it's been so long since I got these questions and I've like paraphrased them in my notes so I don't know if I'm just not answering some of these questions. Okay.. Oh yes, another addition to that is obviously it's easier to be vegetarian in India but it's easier to be vegan in the US Because Indians don't let go of their dairy. What's better in India or the US? That's a tough one For me personally, in America,

Indian food: in all over the world India is known for it's taste. In diffrente state of India you find many different foods. Indian food is always good for health. There no bad effect of this food in health

I mean obviously the infrastructure is a big thing It is just easier to live. Stuff just always works You know. Apps don't crash. Current doesn't go you know, that kind of, those.. small irritating things about life don't happen so it's easier and so your problems become more first world problem types Um.. It's all about individuality.

It's about your personal space, your identity, your you being yourself, that kind of thing. In India obviously you can't afford that because there's so many people so if everyone tries to stand out so much it becomes very difficult to coexist and I've read a great article about this, about how densely populated countries value conformity more because it just allows the country to continue functioning So in India I would say the better things,

I mean I love the fact that there are so many languages. I love the fact that I have to keep up with Hindi and Kannada and you know, keep trying to absorb Tamil and like.. actively learn to speak multiple languages at any given time which Americans don't it's like English. Spanish at the most. And also I think in India I obviously because I'm Indian and I grew up here, the food here is better.

Like global cuisine wise food is better in America but Indian food is just better than everything Um, very random question to end on How are doctors different in India vs America In India they're like "You have X disease, take this tablet." like, "f**k off, bye" But in the US they like sit you down and like explain every option to you like "You can do this, you can do this, you can do this, you can do this" "These are the pros and cons of this these are the pros and cons of that" lalalala they give you all the information So it depends on you as a person um It did freak me out a little bit when I had just moved back and like doctors were not explaining things to me I'm like "But what does this do? Why am I taking it? Why am I taking THIS?" "What's the process?

Should I come back in six months?" I was very stressed, but after a while it's sometimes better to just be told like "This is what you have. This is the medication.

Take it for three days and f**k off" So, it's very different. Of course, health insurance and health care and the cost and the affordability of healthcare is a whole other conversation.

that I'm not going to get into So those were, um, a couple of comparison questions that I got I am very happy to continue this series if you want to put your questions in the comments and we can take it from there, although all of my answers are going to be fully and 100% influenced by my personal experience so this is, in no way, shape, or form, an absolute truth about India or America

  1. Indian culture.
  • India has a prevailing tradition of the joint family system.
  • Arranged marriages have long been the norm in Indian society.
  • In present situation major marriges  planned by parents

This is just my personal experience. I'm trying to think of a cute quote about travel and how it changes your life and perspective but that's such a privileged thing to say so.. (mumbles) I'm privileged Okay bye! source from Google
