But so the first thing is you've got to be a possibility thinker Bob. You've got to be a possibility thinker, in other words you really need to think and believe you're gonna make some waves--PMA positive mental attitude, right BM-- So we were trying to think of who is it the motivational speaker that used to say this?--Right, so we need some help because it was about 25-30 years ago when I heard this the first time.--If anyone remembers the name, name the name.--Yeah put in the comments. We appreciate it. But you know, it's one of those things that really hit my mind because I still remember very clearly, often so wow, huh? Let's go to number two. Associate with positive people and supportive people.-- lose weight This is really important. I find it really it's great that my wife and I are on the same page and apparently your wife and you are on the same page because if you have someone that's just gonna you know eat terribly and they're in the household, that food's gonna be in the household and and how are you gonna eat well then?--Sure, right.--I mean none of us have great motivation to stay away from that bad food. I belong to the because I love to swim and this morning as a matter of fact there was three of us at the end of the pool talking a little bit and we're talking about sugar in our diet and how it to avoid it, and the one guy he said his weakness is sugar gummies, sugar gummi bears. He says he can eat a whole bag of them. Once he starts he just goes through them.

I mean so we all have it--Yeah we all have our problems.--He's putting that aside, I'm putting away the chocolate because that's my weakness and so associate with people that are gonna help you and be supportive. And have a sense of humor! It's important in everything in life to be honest with you. I mean, you don't hang around negative people. I just, I avoid them.--Right so the next one is educate yourself on a diet. You know, you don't have to be a dietician.
You don't have to read tons of books but however, you want to do it. Go to YouTube. I like reading books. That's done the most influence with me is reading books because it gives your mind time to assimilate, at least mine who moves slower. Yeah, it's not a big, you know, I never used to like I'm not gonna read books on-you know, it's not just diet, it's lifestyle changes as far as eating. You don't have to say diet necessarily.
It may be just eating right, and you know I started off and kind of going off in one direction, then I kind of went into another direction and I found what works for me and you know that's only through self education.
easy seven way to lose weight I mean you've got to take the time to read a variety of books and then you'll start to see what works for you.--Right which leads us into the next point is avoid the scam claims. I got two of them that I saw on the internet.
The first one: 12 stretches you can do to burn fat.--Come on. Stretching is not gonna burn any fat. It's a good thing to do. It's healthy but has nothing to do with calories and weight loss. What's the second one Brad?--This one: how to lose weight in five minutes. Yeah, five minutes.--You're not gonna lose weight in 5 minutes. Nothing's gonna happen in five minutes.--If it sounds too good to be true it probably is too good to be true. And you know, it's just something you need to know. The old joke: how to lose 10 pounds of ugly fat...cut your head off. Why Bob why? Once again we digress. --Alright number five--Now this is one that helps me is to stop going out to eat. It's an expensive way to get fat is what I tell myself and it's you know, I like to go out to eat but when I do I like to do it as a treat, a family thing, something you don't do a lot, and then I will binge a little bit but it is difficult to get healthy food when you go out. It's not impossible, but it's just a lot more difficult

Yeah, that star and that movie star and you know, he's in good shape and he was actually at a restaurant and he brought his own food and he goes, can you tell the the chef to heat this up and the waiter goes well, I don't know that they're gonna do that.
And he goes they will and they did. But you know it and we've talked about this before is to preparing food for the whole week so you eat healthy for the whole week. And that's what he did. He would actually go to restaurants and not eat the restaurant food. For what that's worth--Right, well thanks for that little that story Bob, but the next one is when you go grocery shopping do not go grocery shopping --when you're hungry-- when on an empty stomach because it really just makes you want to go for the fun food.--Yeah, everything looks good. Yeah, the other thing, you know they recommend Brad by the way is to avoid the inner aisles. That's where all the processed food is and you're supposed to go to the outside aisles and that has the fruit and vegetables and all the healthy food.
So right try to avoid those inside aisles. I wonder if it's like that all over the world. We've got a worldwide audience. In the United States it's pretty darn true. But, you know, give us some feedback there. I know our friends from Azerbaijan I'm not sure if it's a male or female but he's been communicating with us since we started seven years ago. I'd like to know what's going on over in the grocery stores there. So yeah--Croatia--if this is a thing if you do--Norwegian--Wow you are right in the groove. So if you are eating, or what was I saying? I lost my train of thought. If you don't buy it, and it's not in your house--yeah you're not going to eat it. The battle occurs in the grocery store. I mean when you're at home, you know, if you brought it home the battle is already lost because you know, it's really hard to to have good willpower, strong willpower day after day after day. weight lose tips
Right, when you open the refrigerator and there it's staring you in the face and ready, especially after work. You get home from working a hard day, Yeah, you're tired.--Yeah, will power is gone. So if it's there you don't need that, so those two things. And the last but not least but not least is exercise.--Yeah, you know activity I would even say. You know, don't even necessary plan that you're gonna do exercise every day but maybe you know go out, go for a walk, work in the garden do house chores.
Where you are cleaning up and stuff like that. You know your partner or the people you live with are gonna love yo and you're gonna get, you know you lose some weight because you're you're staying active.--And I think the other big component of that at least with me is if I start doing something get my mind off of food and on a different task, I completely forget about my hunger.
Obviously especially if you're doing something you love to do. I know some of these were probably simple to some people and maybe some of these were just a repeat, but I think it bears repeating. I've got another this is a bonus one, you know it's at the end of the time and I wanna throw this in because it stuck in my mind and I was a sophomore in high school the teacher said, he was a little overweight. I'm from Minnesota, Brad's from Wisconsin and at one point I had to go down to Iowa, With a friend and we went out to eat and we go into the restaurant and this girl she was from Iowa, and goes Oh no, I knew this was gonna happen. A guy's sitting there eating with his shirt off and she's like-and apparently they allowed it yeah at this restaurant. Apparently they allowed it.--Well it's in Iowa. lose weight tips
Yeah, that's right. they don't want to-- but she's like she was so embarrassed because we went down there and then that's what we run into but I mean and it wasn't helping this guy either. He apparently didn't care because he was a big guy.--That reminds me of the thing on Seinfeld in the train. Remember that?--No what?--They go in the subway and the guy across the street across the aisle right in the subway, he takes all his clothes off, not all of them, and he's sitting there reading a newspaper.
